Some delay

Unfortunately the rebuild of the KLR650 isn't going to smooth as planned. cry  Paul Ritzen needs to do some work on the cylinder head but he has little time to do so. It's almost summer so there are a lot of people who want there bikes to be in good shape for the summer. I don't really mind because my KLR650 has broken down for almost 2 years now and a few more months of waiting isn't going to be a big deal. I'm to busy with school and the renovation of my fathers house so I have a lot of things on my mind other then the big thumper.

I hope to post some good news in the future because Paul Ritzen is also tuning my uncle his KLR650. There are a lot of options but he's trying to make the best of it without going drastic like changing the valve angles. A set of faster drop-in cams is going to be used as well as other valves to increase the compression. A stock KLR has a compression of 9.1 and we hope to increase it to 10 by taking of some material of the cylinder if possible and the use of a thinner base gasket. It's to bad that there isn't a high compression piston for the KLR650....
