Some delay

Unfortunately the rebuild of the KLR650 isn't going to smooth as planned. cry  Paul Ritzen needs to do some work on the cylinder head but he has little time to do so. It's almost summer so there are a lot of people who want there bikes to be in good shape for the summer. I don't really mind because my KLR650 has broken down for almost 2 years now and a few more months of waiting isn't going to be a big deal. I'm to busy with school and the renovation of my fathers house so I have a lot of things on my mind other then the big thumper.

I hope to post some good news in the future because Paul Ritzen is also tuning my uncle his KLR650. There are a lot of options but he's trying to make the best of it without going drastic like changing the valve angles. A set of faster drop-in cams is going to be used as well as other valves to increase the compression. A stock KLR has a compression of 9.1 and we hope to increase it to 10 by taking of some material of the cylinder if possible and the use of a thinner base gasket. It's to bad that there isn't a high compression piston for the KLR650....

Finally

After 2 years I'm able to rebuild the KLR650A1. Paul Ritzen told me Kawasaki has updated their database and the crankshaft of my KLR650A1 13031-1235 has been updated by the nummer of the KLR650A2 crankshaft number.

As you can see I have started with the KLR650 section. Now I only have to rewrite most of the pages because my english sucks bigtime. That is what you get when you don't pratice your english. But I think you get the message. I'm hoping to get this section done today. But now I'm taking a short break.

Progress update

Today was another budy day. I'm still trying to figure out how this CMS package works. So far I have made a new link and a page about myself. And offcourse this blog which you are reading.  I'm hoping to fix the KLR section tomorrow. That is a lot of work I guess. I need to make a page about the revision, the exhaust damper, the TM40 flatslide carb an a dyno page.
